So I gave you guys a call an spoke to someone about placing a order. I was trying to place a order, but the person I spoke to said that I could not have a custom one made that was 4 to 5 inches taller/higher, and with a single long door on each side instead of the two doors for my long bed Tacoma. @Adventure Ready

I don’t work for RLD but my understanding is that for structural integrity all long beds have to have the double side doors.

Same for 6’ Ford/Dogde/Chevy beds too.

Looks like you can special order a long bed with single side doors.

Sorry, is there figment issues for a 3rd gen Tacoma, as in will I need to makeshift something to make it fit/water tight?

Any ideas on insulating this aluminum shell? I live in southern New Mexico and the summers get very warm, so I’d like to not bake whatever is in the back.

Also, is it standard or an option to get a front sliding window that folds down for easier cleaning?

I’m about to insulate mine with Lizard Skin. I have been getting out of town a lot so I haven’t had time yet.

    https://lizardskin.com/heat-protection/

Be sure to see the product demo with the electric skillet. I will let you know how well it goes on after I finally am in town long enough to do the job.

ps it’s made of stainless steel not aluminum

I just got my cap. It is missing a bracket, one of the parts that slides in the rail, 1 bolt, and 2 of the nuts. Does anybody know how I could get a replacement? Pretty much everything in this picture.IMG_0335.jpg

Debating between fiberglass, Alucab and RLD but having trouble finding pictures of the RLD on a 2nd Gen DCSB. Im not a fan of how the alucab fits on 2nd gen bedrails and the large gap at the back of the cab.

Hope this helps. First image is closest to cab of truck. Second is closer to tailgate. Two on each side utilizing the bed rail system.

Looking from the top? Or from the cab to the bolt? I’m not entirely sure what you are looking for.

Looking for the measurement from the front of the mounting rail to the front mounting screw attached to the rail.

    Sorry to be so confusing.

Anyone heard from these guys lately? I sent a couple messages/emails with no reply. Obviously living in crazy times right now so not bitching, just trying to find out how lead times have been impacted by the current state of affairs.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy...

My truck is loaded with camping gear ATM. The best I can do is this photo. That’s from the window INSIDE the camper. From the bed of the truck (wall closest to the cab) it’s about 6.5”. Hard to say how far from the front of the rail though because of how much stuff I have in the truck. Next week I can give you a better measurement.
