Those are half inch. Has a washer and a lock nut on the inside. The steel on the camper is not thick so you don’t need much on the inside basically just enough for a washer and a nut. That way there isn’t a lot of bolts sticking down from the roof if you’re trying to sleep in there

Thank you for the reply, seems like mine is a bit different, the v3 camper does not look the same as yours, mine has a “square” tubing per say running the whole length of the ridges that are in the roof. Hard to explain so if you have a v3 you will definitely need a longer bolt, I used I believe a 1 3/4 should have probably went longer to have more threads to grab. Will post pics soon of how I mounted my rack.

Looking at ordering up one of these with the roof rack.

Can anyone confirm this is the 50" x 72" roof rack? Hard to tell by photos with different angles and possible distortions.

I want a rack on top, but not fond of how this rack extends beyond the front and rear of the canopy. I am thinking the 50" x 60" would be about right to not have that.

@sagexp I doubt that is 72 inches being that it is a short bed, I have a long bed single door with Uptop camper rack which is 50 wide and I believe can be 72 long. The V3 cap has different “roof rails” I don’t know what else to call them really, @Robersmi09

Your mileage may vary. I’m hoping the answer is yes.

Do you sell The RLD caps? I just went in your website and didn’t see them. I live in Ca also and am interested in an RLD for my 2016 DC short bed.

    Thanks

Picked one up from Rhino Adventure in San Diego that was already on its way on the slow boat from Africa. Black top, black doors. Also picked up the 50"x60" roof rack today from CaliRaised. Both are fairly local, so I can drive down to pick up and save shipping costs.

Topper should be here (hopefully) mid-August. I wanted color matched 4v6 with black doors, but that would have been up to (or possibly more than) 6 months out. I'll run black doors on black topper for a while, and see how it suits me. If not happy, then after this hunting season I'll pull the doors and window, and run it over to an automotive painter to have it 4v6'd. Also want to have it looked at for a possible vinyl wrap, but I know the textured surface could be rough to work with....so may not be an option.

Going to be spending some weekends prepping the truck with wiring, dust proofing, etc. I've already picked up a half dozen BD S2's for side work scene lights and rear work scene lights, as well as some BD rock lights for interior lights. Going to be a wiring project to be sure. As well as the dustproofing work! Ugh.

A bit costly for all of it, but will make packing up and getting "out there" so much easier than trying to squeeze everything into the bed of the truck, along with a 2nd spare for those "really out there" trips far from civilization I like to go on. Now I can throw a 2nd spare up on the roof rack, along with a couple 4gal rotopax of gas, toss all the camping gear in back, and go.

I ran my interior lights (KC Cyclones) and the wiring in the canopy using magnets from Amazon to keep everything neat and also to move around and/or remove. Best advice I can give anyone buying an RLD is invest in magnets, flat and with carabiners attached.

Yessss Thank you for posting! Been looking for pictures for long beds with single doors! Does the roof still feel study without the center "dividers" that's usually there for double doors on the sides?

No actually with rising material costs and international shipping expect the price to raise. If you are seriously considering I would buy now.

Picked up the roof rack today. Damn thing is solid, but heavy. Good looking rack, but 67lbs with the load bars. So with topper I think I'm looking at about 230 or so lbs up top with the shell. The Deavers will be a must do before long I'm sure.

So, for anyone watching pounds, be aware of the RLD rack weight (and that is for the 50"x60"). I wanted it regardless because it is all welded, as I don't see being a fan of the bolt together stuff (as good as some of them certainly are) as I worry about eventual squeaks which would drive me batty. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to squeaks and rattles, so I was sold on the welded, solid construction of the RLD. But weight of the RLD rack might be a problem for some who might want to go with a lighter weight aluminum rack.

As far as I can tell it’s sturdy just mounted a gfc super light to the rack (pain in the ass) but being that I don’t have anything to compare it to I’d say it’s solid.
