When I was researching mine, I wanted to see all the pictures and video I could, SO figured some of y'all may enjoy this recent edit I did. RLD Canopy is still going strong, definitely top 3 must-have things on my truck.

When are we going to see the mid-rise or high-rise canopies?

You can order one right now. They can customize one for you and add any extra height you want to one. When I went to order my first RLD canopy almost two years ago I had them quote us to add 3” inches in height as we originally planned on making a platform for the bed and sleeping in it. We ended up just going with a standard height cap as we decided getting a RTT was the better choice since we had a short bed and wouldn’t have been too comfortable to sleep in.

If anybody needs a rail slider so you can carry some Lion boxes or Frontrunner Wolf packs hit me up. Got a brand new RLD rail I’ll let go for just $50. I’m located in Bend Oregon. Shipping this would be too expensive and a pain to deal with so local pickup only.

Will be in OR in 2 weeks. Will PM if it’s still available. Don’t hesitate to sell it sooner if you find the opportunity.

Does anyone have any experience with insulating or carpet lining an RLD canopy. I love the look of them and the strength. Curious if anyone has slept in them or used them as a camper? 6ft size obviously

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Waiting for someone to post or RLD to design a liner. Lock issue will probably be out by then and I'll have no excuse not to buy one.

Might want to call them up now and see if you can get first on the install list. When mine came in they called to advise of my installation appointment, and it was on a weekday the following week. Asked if I could re-schedule as weekdays were really tough for me at the time with taking time off work already due to a sick mother. They said next available was over a month away, and they don't schedule installs on weekends. They did work with me and push it to later in the day which helped a good deal, so no real complaints, but rather a "heads up" that they seem to set their install schedule ahead of time before calling customers.

Their install took about two hours, and everything came out perfect. Zero complaints on the install. This was out of their San Diego shop.

I read through this thread, and was wondering if anyone had pictures or input on attaching a RTT directly to the canopy?

If any of you guys have leaking issues through the pre-drilled roof holes, you can plug them with a 3/8"in grommet from lowes/home depot and a 5/16ths plastic plug from any automotive store. The stock plastic plugs were leaking on me in the rain

why not use a dab of rtv silicone? I’m installing crossbars and my canopy next Tuesday at Rhino. It will be interesting to see what they recommend.

I wanted something that was easy to install and remove. I don’t plan on carrying a rtt full time so I’m hoping the grommet will be sufficient to seal with the plastic plug or if I bolt the rtt straight onto the roof.

I used silicone in the past when I drilled the roof on my wrx and installing the cab rack on the taco. I find silicone messy and a bit too permanent. I read on a sailing forum to use butyl instead of silicone when bedding bolts and so I figured if it works on a boat then it’ll work on my truck. I used it to plug the bed corners and roof holes after I removed my cab rack. So far no leaks!

Good call, thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of that... I put a cabinet on one side and used rubber washers for those bolts which have not leaked, but the other side with those stock plugs still does, so I'll pick up some grommets for that side. Gratuitous pics for the thread:

Sweet truck! Love how clean everything is, you definitely fit your instagram handle. I don't think I've seen a white RLD cap before

    How are you liking the STMaxx's? I'm running 285/75/16 cooper at3 xlt, but want a true 33 or even a 295 (33.5).

Thank you very much! I Loved the ST-Maxx's, IMHO the cooper 255/85/16 are the perfect tire for the truck with almost zero work. They are a TRUE 33 and I love the tread pattern on being pretty aggressive, decently quiet and still good in the rain. I've since changed to the 35x10.5's Kenda Kelever RTs you see in the pictures above. I've got about 15k on them so far and am really liking them. Much softer than the Coopers were, as these are a D rated tire and I love the additional clearance of the 35. Definitely a bit more work to fit the 35, even though it's a pizza cutter as well. Personally I'm all about the tall skinny tires though, especially on mid-sized under-powered trucks.

What UCA's you running? I assume you've done at least a CMC.

I've been looking at new tires and the more I look at your truck and other tire options. 35x10.5's might be calling my name... Now to sell my 16in wheels...

    Here's how I sit today
