Wouldn't be Fri or Sat. I do not work those days, but I feel like I spend 1/2 my life on 40 so I'll be on the lookout.

Alot of the leaves are still turning. For the next week and a half its going to look awesome. The mpgs on the Mtn seem to equal out from going up and down. I drive into work to Asheville everyday.

Oh :crapstorm: Had a reply to your Boone question and lost it. Damn enter key is misbehaving again:). Short of it, I don't think there is any good way to go to Boone. I usually try to go the least aggravating way, 40-->221. But, I am not the best person to ask, as I don't regularly go up there. When I try to find a faster way to Boone, I end behind dump trucks going 5 mph up steep grades, lane closing, school buses and of course the token Lincoln Continental from that real long state south of us. I am definitely not the best person to ask.
Maybe someone else here knows a magic route?
