Here are pics of my new lockable inner bed storage doors installed in my '15 taco. I obtained the doors from arsenj0365. Also included is a pic of the original plastic doors (much less sturdy than the new doors). The new doors are made of metal and have an inner gasket that appears it will repel any water short of a total submersion in water. These may be a little more $$$ than some people want to spend, but I am much more at ease knowing my tow straps & bungees are now safely locked way from prying eyes. If these doors had been available when I owned my '12 taco, I would have purchased them back then. Locks are MUCH sturdier than the DYI cabinet locks (which I did do on my '12).

He's correct, he did say repel, not proof. Just don't take your Taco swimming. I might have to buy these next, they're a good theft deterrent.

    Thank you Gabezz,

I almost responded to n.gardner's response in a very condescending way, but I realized it would be a waste of my time and effort, so I ignored it.

He is correct on one single point. The storage boxes do have drainage holes. Thank goodness. Otherwise any water that DID make its way in the storage boxes would never escape short of evaporation or physical removal.

The point I was making, and that you understood Gabezz, was, with the gaskets on the replacement doors, no moisture was going to get in that way. Like it no doubt does with the much less stout, gasket less, stock plastic doors.

These doors might seem a little pricey at first but well worth the investment...IMO.

The same key will open either door. I am preparing to perform the center console cam lock mod and I went to a locksmith and had him rekey the cam lock I had purchased. It was very quick and easy for him to rekey the lock (cost me $7 and tax) so now the same key will unlock the console lock and both bed storage doors.
