Bought a 2008 Tacoma last year. The paint isn't flawless and I've been considering a wrap. Thoughts anyone?

I wouldn't bother with a wrap, but that's just my opinion. Personally if I were planning on something like that, I'd line-x it. Someone on here had his professionally done and it cost around $2500 I think? Looked pretty sweet. His was black too, so it looked really good since the door jams, etc were already the same color as the line-x

Line X would add a crap ton of weight, or am I wrong? I've seen some that were black that wouldn't clean well. Dirt stayed on it.

If line-x is something you would consider, I recommend reading the thread. He covers that stuff. IIRC it only added like 80lbs? That's nothing.

80lbs is a lot less than I thought it would add. Still not so sure on the Line X-ing my truck. Definitely limits the market if I ever try to sell it. I'll check the thread out. Thanks.

As a person who works at a vinyl wrap shop part time. I will be wrapping mine in a very awesome color. It protects from rock chips , scratches , the sun , and dirt. It is a lil expensive. But if done right last as long as paint with serious protection.

Pics when done. Vinyl shops are cheap in Florida. I have friends in Miami and WPB. But a golf cart should be easy. Just take your time.

Will do. Going to try to recruit someone with some experience or at least have an extra set of hands. I have the body off the frame right now.

Paint looks better than mine! I had someone ask me the other day why I painted the roof of my 08 BSP white. The sun here has bleached my roof so bad that the paint has cracked and no polish or compound will fix it. Sucks cause we're about to move for my job so I don't really have the funds to get it painted or wrapped right now.
