Why do you need a taller jack?

Don't over think it. Get some blocks of wood, a couple pieces of 2x6 6" long are not hard to find a place to store.

Out of my assortment of way too many jacks, the stock on board jack is the only apparatus I haven't used to lift the truck yet.

I have a task this weekend.

I used the stock jack once when I got high centered on a muddy hill completed unprepared. I managed to get home using the stock jack and various prices of wood in the area.

i otherwise carry a hi-lift with me on occasion.

Id be careful with floor jack left inside the cab, god forbid you get into a serious accident. That floor jack could scramble your yolk.

The stock jack is just fine, and it is mechanical so no oil can leak out.

Will it lift my Taco if I get a flat? I have a TRD off road with TRD lift and 275/70/17 tires. I haven't been able to try it yet due to cold and snow here.

Lift doesn't affect the jack as it's under the axle. You're fine.
As said above, it's good to carry a couple of short pieces of 2x6's in case you need extra height.

 Need that high-lift out in the elements to make it looks super cool. But my personal preference is to strap it to the bumper shackles just to add to the clucking noises.

Yes. It lifts from the axle on the rear, and you have not lifted the axle more than ~3/4”. On the front you do lift from a frame (ish) point and if you have a lift, that would moved higher. But as everyone else stated, carry some form of pad, like a block of wood.

You should always keep your hi-lift jack and shackles in your wheel wells. Exposing them to the elements makes them stronger.

Unless you're in canuckistan, where your neighbor will snitch on you for having an assault rifle strapped to your hood.

Unless you have increased the droop of the IFS, a lift makes no difference to the jack. Aldi barring perhaps a long travel kit, it’s not possible to increase the droop beyond the stock jack’s capability.

What are you talking about?? Nobody puts a lift without going up in tire size and that will definitely move the frame/axle further off the ground…
But in most cases probably not enough to render the stock jack useless, especially with the scrap piece of 2x6
