Old days they made it with leather, life long material basically. Now a days you prolly get some cheap Chinese nylon webbing attached to the ring. Original all the way man!

And what's up with that monster, Judge, putting the hurt on that Scherzer fastball last night:eek::eek:
    Dude hits BOMBS

    Stuff and such
And here I've been putting this off thinking my truck was too old to do it by VIN, and it was going to cost a bunch of money.

Well your boy, Judge, launched a rocket over the wall. Imagine Scherzer's velocity (high 90s) and Judge's bat..... Yeah it looked like the ball went a mile

I lied, it was Stanton who launched that ball off Scherzer. Judge was on base already.
Stanton hits the ball a mile long, just like Judge does too.
But last night was Giancarlo going deep, not the Judge. My bad.

Toyota still has the metal keys because I purchased a new fueling door lock and it came with both a plastic and a metal key.

I had a new key cut from the key code for my 1986 300zx. The key they cut was so sharp, and the key I had was so worn out: that the new keys wouldn’t open the locks. The key tumblers were so worn out. So I have to get new keys cut to my worn out key for them to work

I had my doubts whether my new keys were going to work, but they do in both doors and ignition which all have original locks.
I can't even imagine how many times that ignition switch has been operated in 24 years and 414,000 miles.

3" ome lift 883. Fnfx pros.
FYI. The newer key with the chip inside can also be used in our trucks. It tends to not break as much as the stock one with the thinner plastic.

Yes, A new ignition can be set up using the code or VIN number, When you look up a code it shows you both the key cuts and pin segments needed for rekeying.

So someone can walk up to my truck in a parking lot, write down the VIN and come back with a key and drive off?

Dealer will ask for owner proof before making a key.

No, you have to show your driver's license and either matching truck registration or title to prove ownership prior to parts dept cutting your new keys.

I think someone who knows what they're doing could take that picture of your key and make a copy, which you just posted on a public forum. Chances of them tracking down your truck are low, though.
