Hey guys, so a couple months back I ordered 5100's all around, and am going to be putting them on in like 2 weeks. I've been noticing my rear leaf is looking flat and beginning to sag. What are good leaf packs that work with the rear 5100's?

I was told the OME Dakars wont, because they require extended travel shocks. Any advice would be great.

Toyota leaf springs are a flat design. If they are flat, you're in pretty good shape. If they are obviously frowning down over the axle, then yeah you probably want to replace the entire pack.

ok cool I didn't know that, so in that case an AAL would be the better bet, how big of an AAL can you use with the 5100's? I like that Icon kit, just wonder if it will make everything level with the 885's/5100 im putting on

Im running the same thing. 885s and 5100s all around. I used the toyotec add a leaf. It made it just about level all around. Some slight squeak after a few months but overall im satisfied.

How hard was the AAL to install?

You will like the Icon AAL more than the standard single leaf AAL that others offer.
Icons pack is made up of three thin leafs, so you gain the height with out a huge increase in rate making the ride terrible.
Icons kit is fairly simple to install, it bolt directly to your stock pack.

I am planning on going with Wheeler's 5-pack (maybe removing a leaf) with 5100s and OME coils in the spring. Put the tax return to good use!

Towed ~5000 lbs the other day and had another 700+ in the bed and saw just how bad the back end sagged with the stock 3-leaf pack. Plus, it'd be nice to have a little bit more height.

    That'll work with 5100's right?

I had a shop do it. I had never messed with leaf springs before and when i tried, it was a bit tough for me doing it by myself. I have very little mechanical expirence.

If you good with that sort of thing then it really isnt that hard of a task to accomplish. But i paid like 300 and got everything put on at the same time and just picked my truck up afterwork. That was just alot easier for me.
