No modifications...yet. Hopefully lift, new rims/tires, supercharger
I own a 2002 Tacoma TRD Off-road and its looking like i’m due for new leaf springs soon, I want to keep it at its stock ride height and I can find plenty of OEM leaf springs, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any good off road performing leaf springs that don’t add any lift to the truck? I haven’t been having any luck, every option I’ve found is at least a 2” lift. Any help or direction would be appreciated!

General Springs; I've personally installed them on other members rigs and they've been happy with them.

Then again you do have a handful that have complained about them on here, though I'm not sure why exactly.

I second General Springs of Kansas City !! I have had great Customer service and great products and prices.

All my dealings were before Covid

No need Aftermarket non OEM springs are all for lifts . Though some vendors will build you a Custom leaf pack.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure Huskey, Dorman, Dayton, and General Springs are all just placing their own sticker on the same product. If you cross reference the leaf spring part numbers across those brands you'll find that they are the same.

That being said, a few folks have posted installed pictures of the General Springs packs and they have been W-shaped straight outta the box- which is less than ideal.

its tempting to make one ton trucks instead soft OEM springs. My dad did that it was strong but such a stiff ride. We must be wise engineers

Are you simply building up your post count to sell something?

Your posts are out of context.

Valid point if springs are being dropped shipped right from the manufacture to the end user.

The quality control is on the manufacture is it not? How can you test every leaf pack add another $100.00 per spring or more to put each one in a jig just like being installed on a truck. Then build a jig for each and ever spring option?

The quality of steel depending just where it comes from can have issues . Simple to have steel miss labeled .

Like I said my dealing were before Covid so much has changed.

The few minor problems I had were addressed with a phone call.

Lol opinions are shared by all here, there's limitless supply.

But you tell me your post makes sense when the OP asked about a replacement leaf pack that does not add any height over stock -

Sharing my personal real-world life experience with leaf packs is out of context? on a post on leaf springs?

    Lol nevermind, you don't understand.

The statement "due to the weight seams local shops are a must"

    What does that even mean?

What opinion are you conveying? It's an incomplete sentence.

:)Guess you've not shipped something heavy lately. Such as long heavy massive leaf springs. Due to thier weight it would be cost prohibited and the interest of the OP better to do local business instead. but you missed the context of his post, don't understand my helpful comment so you accuse me, and make a false case against me?

No way dude, that makes way more sense!

But the OP didn't express any concerns over shipping and/or weight, simply looking for replacements. But yes your post makes more sense now.

General Springs ships pretty cheap. I remember my leaf pack being cheap as well.

To be fair, I also didn't understand either of your posts.

The first one could easily be talking about the weight of the springs or the weight of the truck/load. It's often advised here to seek out a local shop who can make springs based on our exact truck and expected load.

No idea what your second post is about  Maybe incorrect spring rate? No idea.

So yes, both of your posts were lacking context. Sure they were in the context of leaf springs, but we can't read your mind to fill in what you left out from your post.

Don't stress it. Just be a little more detailed in the future :notsure:

When one hijacks the context and accuses one of ill motives? That behavior has nothing to do with the context of the post.

... This is why it was mentioned that you're simply trying to increase your post count. You didn't need to post this, and it does not add any value or more info to the thread. Put the :rasta: down and back away from the keyboard.
