Just got the truck back from getting the leather put in, and thought I'd share some info and pics. The leather is from Roadwire, which I picked over Katzkin because of thickness of the leather and the softness. I got the full leather kit, with perforated inserts. The color is light gray, which matches perfectly with the rest of the interior. I'm extremely happy with the kit, and would highly recommend it. This is by far the best thing I've done to my Tacoma! Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks, the factory look was exactly what I was going for. I wanted it so you wouldn't be able to tell it was aftermarket unless I told you. The side airbags do still work, which is a big plus.

The full leather kit, installed, was $1250. That included front and back, with door panels. I paid an additional $75 for the perforated inserts.

I decided to skip the heaters, just because I was lazy and didn't want to deal with the wiring. I had heated leather in my former car, and I never used the heaters even in the winter. I guess my fat ass just warms the seat up quick anyways!

The leather smell is the only reason I bought my frontier pro 4x...
All my Acuras and Jeep Limiteds came standard with heated leather seats, and people always say "you don't need heated seats in Hawaii" and I always say that you do if you have a bad back

    looks great

my 34K MSRP truck should have that interior standard. it would cost the manufacturer (Toyota) a fraction of that $1325.00 (probably less than 300bux), and there are plenty of things I'd forgo on the truck to make up the cost...where Toyota wouldn't lose a dime on the deal. start with the worthless bed outlet.

I love the smell of leather too...makes me smile every time I get in the truck now.

    Thanks!

I agree 100%. Factory, full, high quality leather should be an option from Toyota. This was always the one thing I felt my truck lacked the most. But now that its done, my satisfaction with the truck has never been higher.

I think it looks awesome as well. I might do the same in a few years when my cloth seats wear out.

Nice Job I got the perforated inserts on mine too and love it. Leather gives the truck a whole different feel inside.

Very first mod I did on my Tacoma. Yours looks great.

I wanted it for durability and smell...previous owner was a smoker and adding leather got rid of smoke smell too.

Unfortunately, I don't know the model number. My installer called Roadwire directly and we ordered it custom right there over the phone.

Wish I could say I did the install, but lack of time and space wouldn't allow that. And from the results, I'm glad I paid someone to do it. Although I have tons of respect for those who can manage it on their own!

Katskinz is a very quality product too. It was actually more expensive than Roadwire through my installer, and I wanted the extra thickness of the Roadwire kit.
