I just got new bilstein 5100 front preassembled shocks/springs with 2 in level and bilstein 5100 rears. I love stance now and it lifted front considerably. However, now the front is 1 inch higher than rear. I am getting an alighnment next week.
Will the front settle a little over time? Does my rear need to be a little higher than the front if i tow a 18ft boat from may thru first week of oct 20 to 50 miles at a time?
Should i consider a 1.5 in add a leaf in the rear? I was looking at the icon add a leaf for this.

Also, i am running 265 75 16s. Should i consider 285s? I would love the look of it? I am pretty certain they will fit. Maybe minor trimming. Do i need new uca's if i put 285s and aftermarket wheels? Can i just use stock? Will i notice significant difference in gas mileage and power when towing ? Sorry for all the questions. I am a rookie. Thanks

Your front will settle a bit. I would go full leaf pack, like icon rtx in say stage 2. The 3 leaf 1.5 to hold up over time. I had them and then switched over to full pack. 285's will drop your mile quite a bit, plus a bit of trimming and possible cab mount chop. UCA are needed over 2" in front for good alignment numbers. If you did go 285's with aftermarket wheels stay close 0 offset. I personally wouldn't. Most regear to compensate for loss of power due to that tire size. Just my opinion. Sure others will disagree.

can you adjust them down a notch in the front?

I’m looking at putting a similar type setup on my truck and I’m new to this type stuff.

I could however i would have to pay a mechanic to take it all apart, springs and all to lower it. So im not really wanting to do that. Just weird it raised it that much. I think im going to do the 2 inch add a leaf in the rear and i can do that myself

I plan on putting a winch bumper on mine, so maybe the weight would pull it down some? you have yours on the last notch?

I can get a full set for $400 so I was thinking of getting them.

I got the preassembled bilstein 5100 with spring set at 2 inch 85 spring. They were all saying id get 1.75 to 2 in. My truck certainly rides alot better. I am going to get 2 in add a leaf in rear and ill be able to fit 33s.
