New Lift

    Hey guys, I have bought the items required to do my first lift & would like to get thoughts on my purchase. I have researched ALOT since first getting my truck, and have read the good/bad etc with each type of lift etc. I know I will get negative comments about what I chose for the front (2.5" spacer) but I got it through Fat Bob's and it has a lifetime guarantee, so I figured being as I don't go "wheeling" with my 2wd Pre-runner, and wanted it more for looks & clearance I should be just fine. The lift comes with a 2" AAL in the rear & I bought some rear OME shocks to go with it. I will get some 885's and front OME shocks in the future to enhance the ride but for now I think my set-up will work just fine. If I was to be going off road alot, I would not have got the spacer, period. Thanks for your feedback ahead of time!

    Scratch the spacers, going with the 5100's set to -0- with OME 885's. That should give me a GREAT ride from what I've read on here.

    ultimate lift kit ( toytec ) ome dakar leaf pack , w/ extended length billies, LR uca's, Pro comp 7089s, KM2's 285 70 17, neoprene seat covers, weather techs, CBI sliders w/kickout, URD ss, cab mount chop, VHT night shade tint>tails,3rd B-light. Debadged. Grillecraft grille, rear diff breather mod. CBI Moab front bumper, warn M8000 winch, HID kragens 7", Hella's micro fogs. retrofit headlights HIDS, LED solutions maps/license! 886 back up light mod,
    That seems to be the most economical best ride quality route that most people take. Same thoughts on ride qaulity who have this set up. Let us know how they ride and post pics. :D assuming your military so thanks for serving man.

    Thanks, I heard the Eibach coils work better with the 5100's and being set at .85 will put it at 2.5" lift. I am trying to avoid the $400 for new UCA's but will evaluate it after the lift has been installed and make my decision then. If I need em, I'll get em. Also, with the 2" AAL I'm putting in the back with OME shocks, I might just finally be content with this set-up. Oh, and I'll be getting new Nitto 265/70/17 A/T's to go with it, stoked! The Mod bug has bitten, no doubt...

    If I had a 2 wheeler, I would have installed a spindle drop. This raises the truck and there is no need for new shocks or springs.

    They have spindle drop kits for motorcycles?? I'm pretty sure my truck has 4 wheels. :D

    Oops. I mean spindle lift. You replace the front spindles with a set that are lower which lifts the front end of the truck. Then use an AAL on the rear. Do a search on here for spindle lift.
