New light bar, should I remove the old one or keep it? POLL

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by Bannerman, Jul 7, 2017.

?

How much light is too much?

  1. You look like you are heading to the mall, take the lower LED bar out.

I just added the rack and light bar, considering removing the bar in the grill. What do you guys think?

I was concerned about glare from the rack light, expecially having a white truck. I did a short drive last night and didn't notice any glare, though I was not specifically looking for it (forgot to look for it).

I have heard roof rack bars have less glare.
I have the door jam (rago fab) brackets and get lots of glare but i just love the look.
Fuck I'd even run a snorkel

Keep it. Any issues with heat on your grill from the light bar.

Why would even consider removing it? Looks good. Provides addition lighting. More work to do to remove it. Unless you need to sell it to pay for the roof mount I would keep it.

How did you wire in the roof rack light? Down the side of your windshield?

Yep, down the drivers side. Wire is inside of wire mould from Lowes, cut to fit and spray painted black. May end up taking it off and just tucking it in with a bead of silicon, but this works for now.

Is that a headache bar I see in the back glass or some type of cargo net?
