So I got my Saints Offroad alpha bumper about a month ago and I'm loving it. Just gotta say this bumper is well built and looks grate. Gave my truck the look I was going for. Has good access to the winch. Pretty happy to be one of the first to have this on my truck. Amy and her crew did an awesome job and the customer service their is awesome.

I have the following requirements from a front bumper:
    1. Strength & Protection
    2. Clearance
    3. Winch Mount
    4. Recovery points
    5. Light bar mount
    6. Looks

looks like this bumper will not deliver on the number 1 item on the list so I don’t think this is for me. It looks good though.

I'm researching bumpers too. What options tick the most boxes on your list?

So you bumped a year old thread to let everyone know you don’t want this bumper? Got it.

Frankly, I'm not in the market for a bumper and therefore I won't be buying this bumper either.

My decision was based partly on the design of the bumper, but also because I don't own a Tacoma.

I feel it is important to let you know this.

Yea ... this thing seems to be shrouded in secrecy. VERY little info about it on the web.
I'm leaning towards SSO simply because of the increased exposure of the product.

Secrecy? Nah, I think it's just from a lesser-known vendor. I'm loving mine so far. I had my bumper and winch installed by Saints OffRoad, really good folks there, very helpful and transparent. They also have a really nice showroom with parts, RTTs, and all sorts of other stuff. I've since installed a Baja light bar (which fortunately didn't require the bumper to be dropped down, I was able to slide it in through the wheel well). There's a Factor 55 flatlink sitting behind the fold-down license plate I added, it all fits perfectly. A couple of quick photos soon after the install:

I like this bumper, especially since they are local to me and have it readily available. Did you get your bumper installed there at Saint's or Adventure Off Road? Adventure Off Road is where I first learned of this company. The bumper flows very well with your truck and looks awesome. I would have considered it if it weren't for my CBI covert bumper coming in a couple of weeks.

I bought a DV8 Offroad license plate relocation bracket from Amazon. Full disclosure, I had to modify it a bit to get it to work. Ended up cutting the arms back an inch or two. I really like it, it does not move at all while driving but can be easily flipped when needed.

There are so many cool bumper options, hard to go wrong. I had the CBI covert bumper on order for many months but ended up cancelling it. I really like the look of the covert bumper and was patiently waiting for it but I could not handle the disinformation I was being given by the company. I don't want to badmouth them, they seem to make excellent products but I wanted to take my money elsewhere as I didn't feel very respected communication-wise. I found the Alpha bumper, called up Saints Off Road, and they had it in stock and ready to install so I drove up and had them put it on.

As much as I despise living in Cali, we do have a ton of trails, land, and off-roading companies in close proximity.

I am thinking of doing a 3 inch body lift. Has anyone done a body and have this bumper on their tacoma?
I am wondering if they would customize their bumper for a body lift

I'd highly doubt it. Looking at the first post, it seems like it would take major surgery and a complete redesign to shift up 3".

Out of curiosity, why a 3" body lift? Don't try to keep up with the Domestic trucks... Tacomas aren't meant to be skyscrapers.

Give them a call and ask about forum/IG discounts, they are easy to work with.

And very expensive i bet for just 1 redesign for sure!

i want a 3 inch body lift to fit 37s, its a lot easier than just tubbing everything, its the easy way of doing it to keep articulation.
Currently im on kings with a 1 inch body with 31575R16 toyo MT's

For a front bumper im going to with a Lil B's front bumper instead and then just cut less to accommodate the body lift.
