Any updates? How’s it holding up? Rust issues? Thinking about pulling the trigger but on the fence after seeing rust.

I’ll say this. I wouldn’t buy this bumper again knowing what I know about it now unless you have ability do some welding and fab work.

That said, I’m completely satisfied with my modified install. It meets my needs, so far. I did drill a pair of 3/16” holes on the backside of each riser for drainage and have not seen any rust yet. It’s been pretty wet hear this month, too.

I like the look! What light bar did you go with? What size shackles are those?

I also noticed no one had the black air damn installed with the new bumper. Does the black air dam need to be removed or can it stay in place?

What was in the red plastic bag? Mine came with the same little bag stapled shut but it was empty.

Where did you get the Toyota letters for that grill and how did you mount them?
I was looking into that grill but like it much more with the Toyota lettering.

Mine had the bolts inside if it. I just received the bumper today but can’t install due to truck being at the dealership for the timing cover leak.

Finally installed. Took me a few hours but overall not as difficult as I first thought. I didn’t take the entire front end off. I worked through the hole made when removing front piece. A little tight but doable. I threw rustoleum in the holes but forgot to drill holes. I’ll get around to that some other time. Here are a few pics.

I had the same problem about cooler brackets. The holes were terribly out of round and so bolts wouldn't fit; seriously bad like no way any QC would had let that pass. Had to bore them out then repaint.

Was also missing nuts & bolts needed for the relocation... the original bolt for mounting the cooler was used in the original hole to mount the bracket, but then needed nut and bolt for the second hole of the bracket where the cooler would be mounted onto the bracket in new displaced location... the parts did not include those nut & bolts.

Which light bar did you install? Share link?
How is the fit side to side, top to bottom, inside the cavity? Any visible gaps around the light bar?
I did a measurement of side to side mounting gap and although DV8 told me 21.5, mine measures 21".

DV8 has install instructions on their website. Uses current bolts which would otherwise have aluminum crash bar.

I wish I had seen some of this thread before installing mine. I followed the instructions from DV8 website which suggests to refer to numerous existing videos on YouTube as to how to remove front bumper. The ones I YouTubed are likely to tell you to remove the front wrap around, and so is what I did. Although to do that is not very complicated, it is still a PITA to take off then put back on, and I can see from yours and some others, it was unnecessary given the other approach... just remove grill and remove front bumper cover which is all really needed to gain access. Doh!

    I went the DV8 route...
Ordered it from eBay yesterday morning, (free shipping, regular FedEx) - got it this afternoon. Wasn't expecting it until Friday. All for $371 & change. Maybe have time to put it on early next week.

Will have to try this approach since its just removing the front valance and putting the bumper back on. The body shop repaired the truck back to a "sport" with front valance and tow hook removed.

Dig your fab work; what state are you hiding in? Would drive by so we can come up with some reinforcement gussets/plans to make this a better functional bumper setup for those that grabbed them.

The two extensions to set the cooler back for the tranny.

You are at risk for doing some frame horn bending from forum posts. Not sure what it would take to bend the setup but I wouldn't risk it.

Question wasn't directed at my but I had gotten a amber/white LED bar that fit into the crevice. But the seller has since used the same Amazon link for a different product:

Look at the reviews posted to see the light output.

    Zip ties, really?
    I don't think so, Tim.
Just preserve the original fasteners. SO much simpler, and nicer.IMG_20200201_144136.jpg IMG_20200201_144121.jpg

Not a perfect fit, but better than plain ol plastic or the "damage enhancer" as one member referred to my previous bull bar. LoLIMG_20200201_171720_01.jpg

It's on the list for today since it's supposed to be warm. Weep holes and threaded plate ones. Along with fluid film treatment in the mount area.
