    Hello everyone.
I'm a fairly new Tacoma owner, so far I'm loving this truck except for the tight room for entry into the cab. I'm 6ft and have to bend my head down to get in, quite a change from my last truck, GMC Sierra, Extended Cab, 4X4.

Like a lot of new Taco owners I'm looking at upgrades. My first priority is tires/wheels.

I'm considering keeping the stock rims (I like the look) and putting on new tires - BFG T/A K02s 265/75R16. In addition to the more aggressive tire I gain an inch diameter.

What are the pros and cons of this tire size & aspect ratio? Gas mileage? power? difference in ride? thoughts? opinions?

    Thanks,
    Gerry

    Welcome.

KO2 are E rated so it's heavier and stiffer side wall. You'll lose a lil mpg. Handling will tighten up though. I liked it but if you like the floaty 'town car' ride you won't like those tires.

Rob, thanks for the input. You confirmed what to expect in the ride and drop in mpg. I wish this tire was available in a C or D rating but I'm ok with a less supple ride. I'm hoping the slightly taller sidewall will offer a little bit more cushion than the same tire in a 265/60 or 265/70. Also, maybe I can run with less than the 80 PSI max for a less rigid ride.
I'm also expecting a bit more noise.

I have the BFG KO2's in 265/75-16 on my 2009 Tacoma.. It is a big difference in mpg, noise and ride quality.I have had them for about 15,000 miles. The tread is like new...They are definitely overkill for my truck, but they look cool.So I have that going for me.
