First off I'm very unfamiliar with forums so my apologies if I mess anything up or post where I shouldn't. I have a 2017 black Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with less than 50k miles and I'm wanting to sell it due to my very limited finances to repair the truck. It does have front end bumper damage and I don't know how to sell a damaged vehicle or put a value on it. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I can post pics. I hate to sell my truck but due to life circumstances I cannot afford to drive it everyday and it really deserves a better place.

Well, we can tell you that you're not going to be able to sell your truck here on the forums until you've met the requirements to do so (read the forum rules to find those), but you're more than welcome to ask any questions about how to sell outside the forum, advice on repairs, repair estimates, etc. Welcome to the forum!

Take it to Carmax and Carvana, average their offers and add 5% if you want to sell private.

Edit, also post pictures of damage. Usually it nets more money if you repair before selling.

At a minimum, take that bumper off, scrap it, and fix that bushwhacked flare.

It would be better if you slapped a $500 bumper on to replace it.

If you have glass coverage, get that fixed too. If you are in a state with inspections, fix anything that will fail it, and that includes glass.

You'll get more cash on the back end.

Why is everybody so worried about a bent bumper though? Take it the CarMax and stuff? This doesn't sound like something outdoor people do

If a steel bumper is bent like that, the bumper mounts/frame is probably bent too. Most logical people have no interest in paying $25k+ for a wrecked/potentially salvaged vehicle. If you're looking to get it sold quick, take it to Carmax, take it to a dealer, take it literally anywhere that buys and sells used cars. You're not going to get what you think its worth no matter what route you go if you're not willing to fix it (correctly). Why wouldn't you just make an insurance claim, have it fixed, and then sell it? If you have no intention of keeping it, why not sell the camper shell, wheels, sliders, and use that money to fix it, and get the asking price you want for it? Not real sure why you're hung up on taking it to somewhere like Carmax; "outdoor people" buy and sell cars everywhere, pay the same taxes, and play by the same set of rules. We're not special.

...and if you do want to post it in the marketplace, get out of the new member thread, where your posts don't count.

What's not nice about that? I'm trying to help you. Posts you make in the introductions thread don't count on your post count (messages). Just look at your messages count. Someone else suggested you read the rules for the marketplace. They tell you that you have to have a certain number of posts (messages) to be able to post there. Suit yourself.
