What's up Tacomaworld! Really dig this forum, and all the wonderful info here. I have little to no automotive knowledge so bear with me. Took my Tacoma in to my dealership today for a scheduled 15k inspection. Made a note to the service men that my breaks have been squeaky and sometimes I'll get a rumbling in the rear of the truck when using the breaks. Any ideas on the causes of this? I feel like any suggested brake replacement from them would be a scam since the truck is so new. Thanks all!

Welcome to TW! If you don't trust them, just take the wheel off and check the brakes yourself. You don't need to be a mechanic to do that. Learn as you go.

LA, riding the brakes because of bad traffic.. I could somewhat believe it.. Ask them to show you why you need new brakes. They can and usually will take you in the shop and show you the thickness of the pads.

or they could be a typical stealership and tell you you need brakes, charge you for it and not do it because your brakes will last another ##,#### miles..
