Installation was really simple, fabrication was a little difficult. I made the storage box backs so they would slide under the bed rails. I used stainless steel screws in the existing holes of the bed rails to secure the storage units. I've never had them come loose.

How do you have existing holes in your bed rail? My bed rail has no holes. Can we drill holes in them? Are they designed to hold some weight?

The previous owner must have drilled the holes. I purchased the truck a couple of years ago. I don't see any reason why you can't drill holes in your bed rail. The storage unit rest on the bed of the truck, so the screws are to keep it in place.

interesting.. I recall the bed rail sheet metal to be rather thin.. like I was able to move the metal a little with my bare hand..

My plywood's about 1/8" shy of the underside of bed rail, There more strength at the crease. I almost don't need the screws because of it's tight fit.

Nice! Original design, clean, and I bet effective. I'm still collecting ideas for what I want to do to mine. I went with a topper with a rise for more space inside. I don't really have anything I'd put of top so it was an easy decision...I pull all my toys!

This is what I've done to my truck. I'm heading to Palo Duro Canyon with my dog next week.

Your truck looks great! You put a lot of thought and time into it, and it shows! Great job!

Whats your design on your side hatches? Are they fully compartmentalized or are they just partitions on the truck bed?
