    Hey guys,

New member here considering joining the family. My current daily driver (02 saturn POS) is on the way out and my fun car (80 camaro 468 big block) is up for sale. I've considered one of these trucks for an everyday ride/work truck for around the house.

The best looking trucks for sale in my area and price range are mostly 2005's that have had the frame/suspension replaced per toyota warranty but high miles. One has 125k and the other has 175k. Both have replaced frames and are reg cab 2wd w/manual trans. The 175k truck actually looks better in the pictures.

I've done quite a bit of reading on here before i joined but i still wanted to get some opinions. My questions are:
    1) high miles - should i be worried about getting 3-5 years out of these trucks @ those miles?
    2) comfort - i'm around 5'8 and 240 pounds - the lack of the center console sucks but i've seen some aftermarket ones online
    3) tranmission/clutch issues - i guess that goes with high miles - i don't want an automatic

I read every snow thread on the board so i'm not too worried about that. Totally different car, but i had a 400 hp pontiac g8 gt and with 4 snow tires it was ridiculously good in the snow. I'm in Rhode Island so it's really not that bad. My wife has a 2013 pilot so we usually drive that everywhere anyways. My uncle has literally driven nothing but these trucks since the 70's and loves them. Even my hardcore GM/Ford truck friends say the tacoma's are good trucks.

The 175k mile rig is up for $3900 and the other truck is listed at around $5000. I cannot spend over $5000 on a truck so thats why newer + 4x4 is out of the question.

    Thanks for reading!
