Morning Taco brothers/sisters. After a 20 year wait finally got my Tacoma (2019 TRD PRO). That being said just put a Ikamper 2.0 skycamp on it.
LEAKS ( water pours in) through the top skylight. I was “weathering “ the tent as instructed by the company... pull back the rain fly and soak the tent throughly. Had the hose on it for two mins when I noticed the water pouring into the tent. Please anyone out there been down this miserable road? There is NO WAY this can be right.
    Super frustrated.

Ikamper update. Bottom line will not acknowledge that the skylite zipper is not a proper waterproof zipper and is malfunctioning ( even after viewing my video). They will not take the tent back. They expect you to use the rain fly at all times when dealing with any type precipitation ( passing shower or torrential rain storm). So on sweltering hot summer nights know that if a passing shower does come through while you are sleeping in your Ikamper and the rain fly is pulled back due to the temperature , you are about to get wet.. VERY WET. They put a waterproof zipper on the front opening and no place else! $4k tent and they thought this was a good design.
Customer service will not talk to you on the phone and will only communicate by email. I guess it’s easier to deflect and hide behind broad based warranty claims that way?
I wanted to work this out with them, I wasn’t looking to hold them up ( looking for a discount) I just want what I paid for! A fully functional tent.
“We have noted this issue and will look into design solutions long term for the Skylight zipper if there is a desire to not use their rainfly. ”. Anybody wanna buy a tent?

Sorry to hear this, thought it was a solid product. There is a RTT thread, maybe ask someone in there. Welcome to the TW, best of luck.

Ikamper update. Had a great conversation with Mike at Gofast RTT’s based out of Boseman Montana. They make a SOLID RTT that is definitely worth a look. It’s bullet proof and made in the USA. If you’re thinking twice about and Ikamper ( AND YOU REALLY SHOULD) take a look at these boys in Boseman.
