New member - recently purchased a totally stock 2011 TRD Sport with 68k miles. Very pleased with the acquisition. Exterior (for a nearly 5 year old vehicle) is a solid 9 out of 10, and the Interior condition was better than a 8.5 rating. Car brite liquid polishing and a nice coat of Griot's sealant wax, and the exterior is gleaming. Shampooing the TRD seats and standard carpeting really put things back into order on the interior. The underside of the vehicle is like the rest of the vehicle's condition at time of purchase - Well above 8.5.. I am finding myself asking where the 68k miles were aquired? Maybe it was owned by some rich guy who only drove it in his garage? The engine bay was nearly clean enough to eat in. A little dust on the fenders, and some organic material up near the windshield where that stuff collects on every vehicle I've ever owned.. Damp rag wipedown - showroom new.. The only area of the truck that appeared to have any real wear was the TonnoPro bed cover.. A bit of Lexol leather cleaner followed with Lexol leather conditioner brought it back to a rich supple black and put it right in every way - except for a little wear on some of the stitching.

The Price?? It was the steal of 2015 for this region.. $23k

During my total inspection, I lowered the spare.. (A brand new - full size (matching) Dueller H/T on a Steel rim) cleaned and conditioned tire and rim and while drying climbed around under the bed to check it out.. Again, hardly even dirty.. Nothing a hose would have trouble with...

Question: Inspection of the spare tire's rim revealed a sticker that said - FOR TEMPORARY USE ONLY. Are Tacoma's delivered with a donut tire? As mentioned it has a matching Dueller H/T mounted on it. If ever needed - are there any speed limitations related to this rim - like those observed when a donut spare is used.... Curious...

Can't speak for all models, but mine has a matching factory tire on a black steel wheel as well. And I have a lowly '13 base model.

I believe the reason for the temporary use sticker is the spare does not have a TPMS sensor in it. Thus, it being in service will set off the warning light on the dash.

No on road limitations that I'm aware of.

    Nice looking truck!

TPMS is a consideration.. Maybe that's it. Thanks!

 Thanks I feel the same way - I run a monthly Cars & Coffee event here in Williamsburg VA 23185 (3rd Saturday of the month - The CoffeeHouse - corner of Rt 199 & John Tyler Hwy) and while there are a few rock chips (that I will work on this week) I would be proud to take this vehicle "As Is".

Welcome! I stumbled on to a great deal on a 2011 back last November. Mine is a DCSB, TRD Off Road. 4th Tacoma I've owned. They aren't perfect, but I'd rather drive a Tacoma than anything comparable from any other brand. Lots of "fun projects" on TW! I did manage to hold on to the wallet for about 6 months. Turn and run while you still can! Your UPS route man will thank you.

Past vehicles - 06 - 350Z & 2010 40th Anniversary Edition 370Z, I am no stranger to modification.. But thanks for the warning all the same. Afraid it will be difficult to heed...

I looked at an '11 that sounds a lot like yours(miles, model, and condition wise) before i found my '12. They wanted $26k which was the family price(I worked and brother still works at the dealership) so you got a nice price!
