Just picked up a 2015 which has the factory toolbox, diamond plate top and black box. Previous owner had lost the keys so I picked up a replacement set. Now my issue is the locks turn and once unlocked, the buttons push in, but it seems only one side or one latch is releasing. From the pics I've been able to find it appears the box has two pins and the lid has some sort of receiver. It's not clear to me how the pin/receiver latch actuates to lock the box. My hope is that knowing how it's supposed to move will help me understand how to encourage it to release. Of course if anyone has previously solved this puzzle, I'd appreciate hearing the solution. I'd hate to have to take a crowbar or sawzall to an otherwise perfectly fine toolbox just to remove it. Thanks in advance.

Use a flatbar to move lid out while pushing button hard.
