I just bought my first Tacoma on Tuesday...

No real plans yet, other than take it up into the mountains to go camping. Its been too long since my friends or I have had a vehicle that would make it down the trails we usually take to our favorite campsites. The trails are not really extreme, you just need a little bit of ground clearance, something my GTI doesn't have.

Considering getting nerf bars or running boards, leaning toward a set of OEM running boards, as they seem a little lower profile. I'm fairly short so its a bit of a hop for me to get in.

Also contemplating whether I should keep the factory plastic drop in bed liner or not. I had planned on doing a spray in before I saw the truck had a liner in it already. I wanted to stay away from a plastic drop in bed liner because I've always been told they do more damage than good. Opinions? Experiences?

There is my intro, and I absolutely love this Tacoma.

I may be wrong but from what I've read the bed liner is your bed. If you remove it you won't have a bed. Its not like other composite beds where you remove it and you just have metal. I got a bed cover to protect mine. Its nice because things won't slide around. That can also be a pain for the same reason. If you have a big box, you can't slide it back.

    Congrats and welcome!

Very interesting, I did not know that. Guess I don't have to worry about what to do with the bed liner.
