    Hi all,

I bought a used 2014 Tacoma Texas Edition with 14K miles in February.

I came from the jeep world. My old ride was a lifted 04 Rubicon with 35" tires.

The Tacoma, unlike the jeep is a daily driver. So my plan for the Tacoma was to keep it stock.

I have been doing a lot of reading on this site and i'm picking up a lot of great information.

The part of leaving it stock lasted 6 months...
Since I had my winch from the jeep I decided to make a bracket and install the winch on the Tacoma. Again, I researched this site and picked up a lot of great information.

Mocking up to see how the winch plate would look like with the winch installed.

I created the brackets from 1/4 inch steel plate with some 2x2 square tubing.

Almost finished, I put the winch line in a later picture.

I don't plan on doing heavy duty wheeling with the Tacoma but my plan is to make it a little more capable than stock.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

The hidden winch was a lot easier to make than I thought. Here it is with the synthetic winch line installed. I remove the license plate to use the winch. The winch is a TMax 9000 lb. I did add some brackets to attach the hidden winch to the frame.

Some more work done on the truck.

Worked on removing the rear third:

    Replaced with a different third:

I created a bracket and installed an ARB compressor in this location.

Added some brackets to attach the c02 tank and the highlift to the bed tracks:
