    2012 Tacoma Off-Road Package - NEW Tacoma #4
Plastics, tint, starter & looking to add more
Just bought my 3rd new Tacoma this past July. I bought my first 2000 fresh out of college after getting my 1st sales job (lots of driving), it was a Silver Xra Cab 4x4 SR5 with power drs/wndws and manual trans (was told it wasn't common model). I put a push bar with some nice PIAA spot lights and just fell in love. I then bought a black (charcoal) 2003 double cab TRD Limited, put a Weston bull bar, tint the front windows, plastics and a starter. I drove the hell out of that one with no issues what so ever. Traded that one in and good a great deal on my new Silver double cab TRD off-road package with a lot of new extras that were never available in my previous models but were found in the Tundras like the dimming rearview w/rear backup camera, the sunglass compartment up top with thermometer and compass. I just love these new little standard extras. I am not a mechanic but I do see possible issues with electrical/computer components in these new models since it seems that EVERYTHING is running off some sort of processor. Only time will tell but with the AWESOME extented (100K bumper to bumper) warranty program that I purchased and service included by Toyota as well the rock-solid history that I have had, I am not too worried. Any Tacoma experts out there think that I am being fool for having these concerns? I can't imagine that adding components is as easy as it was with the pre-2004 models.

Anyway, I am glad to be a member of this great forum and hope to find some great modification ideas from fellow-members

    Pete
