    2017 Toyota Tacoma SR DC
    Hi All,

New 2017 Tacoma SR DC owner here. Ive always been a truck owner but first Toyota. Previously drove full sized Chevys, the last being a 2001. My wife bought the last two new vehicles so it was my turn.

I reseached the midsized GM twins, Toyota and Nissan. No need for full sized truck this time around. A local GM dealer had a used 2016 Tacoma TRD DC and of course the twins. This gave me a good opportunity to compare all 3 at once. The Tacoma was clearly the best choice for me. IMO, best looking, best stance and lowest cost at base trims.

I can't be happier with my Taco. Its been a long time where I enjoy driving. Yes it has its quarks but they all do. No intermittent wipers is one. But for a base Taco, it has more options than I was expecting.

So far I've added a BAK Industries BackFlip VP tonneau, WeatherTech floor mats and mud flaps. Parts to come are new wheels. I like Grid GD-4 in matte black with color matched inserts. Debating 265s but the 245s fill the wheel wells well. Im assuimg I should have the computer adjusted for the larger tire size? Lund Terrain HX nerf steps too. Since I dont have fogs, i want to install Rigid's Tacoma Mount Kit with LED lights.

This forum has been a great help and I hope to contribute.

    Thanks
    Aaron

Glad it was your turn to pick and glad you're happy with your choice. The ability to compare three back-to-back was lucky!
Clearly your final choice matches ours, so you're obviously a genius. I'm going to look into those wheels and do like the no-drill Lund HX step myself.
Welcome and thanks for the intro!
