I am a lifelong fan of Toyota trucks, and even though I have strayed on occasion, I always go back to a Toyota.
Currently I am driving a 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock 5.7l Hemi 4x4. Numerous brake and electronic issues were just too much for me, and I decided a few months ago to go back to a Tacoma. The prices of used truck was shocking, and I soon realized that it makes more sense ordering a new truck.
I had a pretty narrow criteria. If I was going to buy a brand new rig, I was going to get exactly what I wanted. I was looking for a Magnetic Gray SR5 4x4, long bed, preferably with the SX package. After several weeks of looking, I found the exact truck inbound for a dealer about 4 hours from home. This is my first brand new vehicle since my 1994 pre-Tacoma single cab Toyota 4x4 4cyl. 5 speed. I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for it’s arrival!
The only mod I have planned for it immediately is coating the undercarriage with fluid film. We get 5 months of salty roads here, and even though it goes against my nature, I want to hang onto this truck for a long time.
