Hello fellow Tacoma owners. I am coming up on 1 year of having my Tacoma TRD and I'm really enjoying it. I have the V6, double cab, long bed, with the sport package. Right now I am trying to decide if I want to get into the travel trailer camping and tow with it. I hear so many mixed reviews about towing with the Tacoma.

    Welcome!

I towed a small 19' Toy Hauler with my Tacoma and it did better than I expected, but I wouldn't go more than 5k lbs. I ended up getting a motorhome instead and tow my truck since I was afraid if I broke on a trail, I wouldn't be able to tow the trailer back. I've also gone the RTT route for trails where taking a RV isn't feasible. Anyhow... good luck with whatever you decide!

    Thanks everyone!
@ Delmarva, I will check out the towing section.
@ LikeAboss, thanks for the info. I've been looking at the 18' R-Pod. The dry weight is 2695lb.
