Hey guys, I am a first time Tacoma owner. I just bought a 2010 White Double Cab 6 speed manual TRD Off Road.
I used to own a 3rd Gen 4runner that I built and ended up selling it. Here's the 4runner build link for whomever is interested in seeing it I will give a small background of the truck and maybe you'll know who's it is or if this person is part of the forums here. I ended up buying the Tacoma of the auction. It was a theft recovery which means the car was stripped and the insurance totaled it. It was missing the wheels, the front bumper was gone, and the headlights were missing. Everything else was intact and no body or frame damage. It has All-Pro Upper Control Arm, Fox adjustable from coil-overs, and in the rear it has the All-Pro leaf pack with Fox shocks. It also has sliders welded on and the mesh grill mod done to it. The grill is not in the pictures but it was in the bed of the truck.

Do you guys want to know what I paid for it? It only got 51k miles on it. Why don't you guys take a couple of guess on what I paid for it.
I will do a build thread on it in couple days once the headlight arrive on how I brought this car back to life and how much the truck cost me to put it back on the road.

I buy wrecked Toyota trucks too. My last one was 5k. Yours will be a much quicker build.

Under estimating toyotas value. No I paid for it much more than that. One thing is the title will be salvage. The whole truck with delivery, all the parts I need which are bumper, headlights, and wheels/tires, registration and taxes will come out under $17k. I'm think that a good deal considering that it has a lift installed on it.

Very nice! So what are you going to do to prevent it from being stolen from you? ;)

Hey there! Thats my old truck!!!

Great to see it has a good home....

I have some inside info for you... the thieves stole the CB & antenna but not the wiring or base. I had a cobra C75-WXST and the base should still be located under the center console. also, if you haven't already noticed there are the aftermarket bed corner tie downs / braces which were where the cb antennae used to mount. If you look in the drivers side bed cargo pocket the wires for the CB (ground and antennae) are probably still there.

The Rhino lining on the bed, sliders and rear bumper were all done by me.

another thing... I JUST replaced the blower motor in the truck since the original was squeaking like crazy!

Talk about amatueur hour... They found the truck 4 months after the theft and I looked it over pretty closely when I went out to Vegas to get whatever was left. It doesn't even look like they took it off road the whole time! You got a great deal there... I babied the truck.

I have the rear headrests, original OR headlamps, FXR retro kit and wet okole rear seat covers still... just lazy with posting up to for sale.

Thanks for letting me know about this, I don't get on much anymore since it only makes me sad..:( No worries cuz insurance paid me almost double what you paid for the truck and now I have something that suits my needs better. Not as fun to drive but it does what I need.
