New Member in Chattanooga - Longtime Lurker

Hey All,

My name is Adrian and I am located in Chattanooga, TN. I'm a mechanical engineer working in the BIM world... (for anyone familiar). I'm a vehicle nut with a couple old miatas and a couple of old Honda motorcycles.



I bought my 2003 4D 4WD SR5 Tacoma back in January of 2020. It was a mint, single-owner, garage-kept, rust free example with 234k miles. I was hellbent on a TRD but it sat on CL for a couple weeks and looked like it was in perfect condition, so I went and checked it out and compromised since I could throw a locker in later. The previous owner had a 2" stack of service records and he cried twice when I left with the truck. I now know why.... these things are just perfect, and he was meticulous with it.


Fast forward to 2022 and I have done the following to get started with some wheeling:

• Welded sliders (these have come in REALLY handy)

• 3rd gen 4Runner wheels with 32" Wildpeaks

• Bilstein 5100s with OME 881s and OME Dakars

• Free snugtop camper from CL

• OEM ELocker Axle picked up from a parts yard in Macon

• Fixed a nasty short in a damaged ABS/Elocker wire that must have come from the factory that way and started melting behind the dash. This was a fun one... It was never "hot" so the problem must have never been apparent.
