    2006 Tacoma extended cab standard 2 wheel drive 2.7

    Love taco's to eat and to drive. I drove a 1993 T100 for nearly 20 years and just sold to purchase a 2006 Tacoma standard extended cab 2.7, automatic, 2 wheel drive. Single family owner with less than 100K. I feel very fortunate to have found it. Previously drove a 1991 Camry Wagon 4-banger, 2006 Corolla and currently drive a 2016 Sienna and a 2010 Prius aka "road warrior". Plan on doing much of the work myself (hopefully it won't need much) as needed. If anything like my other Yota's it should be 99% bullet proof with regular maintenance. Any tips or suggestions around performance improvements or things I should consider are appreciated. May be replacing the fan clutch soon and seems to make sense to replace the water pump, hose and belt at the same time. Also rear shocks. Thoughts?
