Hi everyone. I just bought a new 2022 Tacoma CC Short bed 6-speed MT TRD Off-road 4WD a few months ago. It’s my 2nd Tacoma I’ve owned ( bought a new CC Short bed in 2005). I really like my new truck. I’ve got almost 2,000 miles. No troubles other than 2 rock chips in right passenger rear door. I installed OEM mud flaps and have not had anymore. I’ve installed a BakFlip F1 hard folding bed cover. I have a set of OEM LED bed lights that will go on next. I just ordered Bilstein 6112 Coilovers and 5160 rear shocks for it. I’ve been doing a lot of reading on rims and tires here on this site.

Thank You! I have not owned a Tacoma since 2007. I bought my first Toyota in 1992. It was for my Wife. It was a 1991 Toyota 4 Runner SR5. It was our first family rig. My next Toyota was a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I had been driving very used Nissan Hard Body pickups for years. When I test drove this new Tacoma CC short bed 4WD Sport MT I couldn’t believe how nice it was. Bought it! Kids outgrew the back of it years later, and went to full sized trucks until now. So happy to be back in a Tacoma.

Ayyy, fellow Oregonian, a Eugenian at that. I live in Central OR now but spent the first 28 years of my life in the dirty Eug. Still go back and forth somewhat frequently so maybe I'll see you around! Welcome to TW

Thanks guys…. I’ve been reading a lot today. Trying to figure out rims and tires for this leveling kit I have coming in tomorrow. I ordered a Bilstein 6112 front coil over set with shocks set at #11 and #9 on the lift hight groves ( higher one for the drivers side Taco Lean ). I ordered Bilstein 5160 shocks for the rear. I have not ordered anything else yet. I’m not sure to be level front to back if a 1” to 1.5” block or ad a leaf is necessary in the rear. I would like new 17” fuel wheels and BFG AT tires to go with this lift, but I’m not willing to cut, weld, heat gun etc any areas on this new truck at this time. I talked with Shock Surplus on aftermarket UCA’s. They told me they weren’t needed for the 6112 kit on this truck, but I see some of you using them. Odd, but I do not see anyone using the Bilstein brand UCA’s. I am reading up to see the right offset 17” wheel and width, along with the biggest 17” tire I can run with this setup ( 6112 with stock UCA’s ) with no mods to make them fit. I want no rubbing and no mods. Thanks for any and all info offered…..
