I used to fish for salmon in the Skagit all the time when I lived up in Bellingham. That spot right in town gets way too crowded. I found a nice spot down river next to farms but eventually more people started finding it as well. Next time I'll camp in that spot and make sure my spot is my spot lol

Welcome from a former west sider (Lake Stevens), just moved to the east side in Deer Park, something like 45 min from Sandpoint. I have passed through there a few times on my way to Priest Lake. I always have at least a little bit of recovery gear in my truck. With this time of year, I have most if not all my recovery gear in my truck so that if somebody else screws up I can help, or if I screw up too much, I am easy to help.

I lived in Sandpoint when I was a kid. We just had a family reunion at Priest Lake last summer. I love that area.

Wife and I got married on Bartoo Island on the lake. We have a close friend of the family with property. It only takes a 10 min boat ride across the water from the marina. It is a bit of a commute to get there.

I was trying to get to Priest lake here in November. I was about 10 miles away and got blocked by a tree in the road. I had no recovery gear so I turned around. It's pretty sweet up there.

I would be happy to ride out with you. I have a bit of recovery gear, as well as a couple chainsaws to help remove those pesky trees across the road.

have you guys been to the natural water slide on the north side of Priest Lake? Pretty cool shit. For those who haven't seen it there is a creek coming down a solid slab of granite and the water has smoothed it out and there is a layer of algae that makes it extra slippery.

I found a pic of said waterslide. Rip open two leg holes in a big garbage bag and wear like pants you and slide really nice.
