    I just picked up my first Tacoma yesterday, and joined the forums today! Just wanted to say hello.

    This is my new baby;

    So far I'm really enjoying it, although it only has 88 miles on the clock. Rides great for a truck, is quite comfortable.

    I traded in my 2008 BMW 335xi, which was a really tough move. I needed a truck to deal with a lot of homeowner related stuffs, and I couldn't afford to keep both. It's been rough adjusting between the two, which became shockingly apparent last night on the way home when I had to navigate a rather steep double-hairpin turn to get home. I could take those corners going uphill at 40MPH+ without so much as a squeak from the tires, the Tacoma? Well.... It wasn't so much the same as I lumbered around the corners doing 15-20MPH. Funny thing though; I still had a huge grin on my face because no matter how different the experience is between the 335 and the taco, I'm REALLY happy with the decision.

    Next Step: Do a LOT of reading here, soaking in everything I can from those of you with YEARS of experience with these things, and coming up with a list of things I want to do in order to "personalize" my new taco. :)

    Welcome! I went from a Camry to the Tacoma. Definitely different in tight corners with that long bed!

    Just drove over Homestake Pass outside Butte, MT. Going up steep roads is VERY different on the Tacoma than my Camry. Have to run those RPMs higher in the truck. My K&N intake makes it sound louder though... Sounds like it's working harder than it is.

    Best mod for me so far was replacing the Dunlop tires. The truck rides much better with Michelin's.
