Hi guys i just picked up a 1998 extended cab 4cyl 5 speed 4x4 177k off ebay for $6500. This will be my first tacoma. One of my friends had a 96 6cyl auto that i fell in love with. I know the quality of the 4cyl engine and the tacoma itself and the truck looks to be very clean. I am going to pick it up on tuesday and was wondering if anybody had any tips on what to look for as far as common problems. thanks in advance

Ya, in my little experience so far, those styles seem like rust cancers. Good pick up though, hope you love it!

    You're more brave than I am. I wouldn't even consider buying a vehicle sight-unseen.
