Blacking out the chrome emblems on my 2014. Using plasti dip.
Still in the process. Will post the finish later.

First thing I did as well. Same color truck too I think. Very happy with the results.

I want to plasti dip the rims I got but I feel I might regret it later. I pulled up in Home Depot one day and the car next to me obviously used it on their rims and it was peeling off. Looked like doodoo.

Welcome to TW, I changed out the emblems on my Tacoma instead of painting them. (not the best with a rattle can)

Yeah, I've got black tundra rims on my truck at the moment, but I did plasti dip my stock tacoma rims that have grabber at2's on them. They were looking pretty beat around the edges, hence the plasti dip. I probably used around 5 coats I'd say. We'll see how they perform this winter, Ill be putting them on my truck sometime this week. If they do start to look like crap ill post a pic and probably a before and after of the removal. Hopefully it wasn't just a waste of time and money, but only time will tell.

Did you take all the runs off your truck and do both sides of the rims? I feel like it might cost more but in the end nothing is left unpainted and seen.

Alright. Plastidipped the emblems and the rims. I'm liking how it turned out. Next I want to get some 1.5" wheel spacers for all four wheels for that more aggressive look. Btw..I built this front bumper earlier in the year and cut some designs in it over the weekend. I like the front look but not digging the side profile. What do you guys think?

Looks pretty solid, how heavy is that thing? Spaces are a good call, definitely an upgrade ill get to sometime soon. I've put around 500 miles on my winter tires and the plasti dipped rims seem to be doing fine so far. WP_20151218_13_33_58_Pro.jpg

I would like to do that, but I use the truck as my daily driver so having the lights out for a day would be an issue for me. I'm gonna put my cap back on tonight since the mileage wasn't any better with it off and I didn't like having to worry about my snowboards being stolen from the bed. The next real thing im going to do it replace my front control arms. I think the uniball socket is rusted beyond repair. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/replacing-camburg-upper-uniball-arms-any-suggestions.406191/
