    Hey Tacoma World!

I am new to the forum and happy to be here. Finally purchased my first Tacoma! I picked up a 2011 Double Cab Short bed. New frame and super clean. 130,000 on it and looking drive it for another 100k at least. I also run a 2008 4runner with 170k and going strong.

I am looking for a shell for my Tacoma. As I have been researching I've realized they are very few options out there used. I can't justify spending the money on a new one. This will be used for work and dry storage. I thought I'd reach out to the community to see if anyone has one available. I'm in NH and willing to drive a distance for the right fit. Doesn't need to be color matched as I will paint it to fit my needs. If anyone has anything out there, let me know. Thank so much!

Welcome to TW. I was in the same boat, looking for a used topper, our metro area isn't very large so the pickings were slim and I was finding nothing. Checked CL and FB marketplace every couple days and eventually realized it was likely going to take a drive to get what I wanted. Had I limited myself to the local area who knows how long it'd take. One eventually popped up, it took about $80 in fuel to get it but I found almost exactly what I was looking for (outside the color) in VG condition. All in all I saved about a grand over new one, more if it didn't need the color changed. It was some work to go get it but I don't regret going that route.

Thanks @ridefreak. That's great info and will be my plan for the search. It is definitely slim pickings, but I just lost one on CL so there is hope. My year and color for $800! Already sale pending by the time I saw it. I'll keep on the hunt. I appreciate the feedback
