    Hey guys,

I am a new member here and in the market for a tacoma. I came across this one near me http://www.exceptionalmotorcar.com/...a-Tacoma-74144cb00a0e0ae83c2f6da682253e03.htm. It appears to be a TRD off-road without the decals and the reason I think that is because of the RR diff lock. Normally those are just left blank if the option is not there...I believe. I was just looking for some more knowledge on if this is a decent buy and what things should I check out when looking at it. I have done a little research and know to check out the timing belt, frame, and leaf springs. Just wanted to know if anyone else had some other suggestions. Thanks.

I'd Google the alarm system installed on. Doesn't look to be brand name, but its hard to tell.

I can't comment on whether the price is good or not, but I'd make sure there are maintenance records on it. If it was well-maintained I wouldn't be concerned about the mileage.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Lay under the truck and push up on the driveshaft at the center bearing to make sure it’s nice and tight and not loose or you’ll be replacing that

Get them to put the truck on a lift and have them turn the alignment cams. If they can't be turned, or the alignment cam tabs are flattened, they're seized in the lower control arms. If they're seized, the truck can't be aligned and this will require the cams/bolts to be cut to remove and replace the lower control arms.

It's an easy and inexpensive thing to correct in your driveway but could give you decent bargaining leverage.

It looks like a nice clean unmolested truck. It seems too cheap for a car lot asking price for that year and miles. Take it to a respected body shop and ask them to look at it to see if it's been wrecked and repainted. There's 25 entries on the Carfax report. Find out what they are.
