Owner of a 2014 Trd sport 4x4 with a procomp spacer and rear block with 265/70/17 hard alloy black rhinos on wrangler duratrack tires. Thinking of a suspension (maybe new coilovers) lift that will fit some 33"s which I think are 285s? If I want 35"s would I need at least a 4" lift or higher? Any tips would be appreciated.

Sweet truck!!! You have TONS of options as far as coilovers are concerned

    Have a budget in mind?

Thnx. Just want a little higher beefier look with tires a little bigger. Been doing some off-road lately and think it's time for some better off-road shocks and all. Theirs always a budget haha, and I know a few hundred for installation and alignment. Looking for maybe around 1500 give or take for all 4 corners, if price and performance is great I wouldn't mind paying a pretty little penny.

In addition to the lift, you'll need to do some cutting for 285's and to go with 35 you're going to need to cut some more along with some hammer swinging.

Hammer swinging? Doesn't sound fun haha. (Obviously still a begginer ). Even with like a 6 inch lift I will need trimming done?

A lift doesn't change the path of the wheel when the suspension cycles. Sure, you can lift it enough that a 35 will fit when parked but once you stuff a tire you are going to rub (even with 33s).

People are running 255 x 80 or 85 on OE wheels with minimal rubbing issues.

Gets a nice tall tire, properly fit.

    Wider isn't always better.

That's essentially what I'm running. Fox 2.5 extended travel with LR UCAs and sway bar removed up front and the Fox 2.0 RR in the rear with Dakar leaf packs. Very happy with the setup.

Doesn't matter from the side though, right? Everyone wants to 'fill the wheel wells'.

Tall is what fills the wheel wells, not wide. Tall is what creates ground clearance, not wide. Skinny is what helps alleviate rubbing issues, along with proper fitting wheels.

Here is my setup, FOX 2.0, SPC arms, love the way it rides. Did the front for about a grand.
