New Member Looking to Buy a New Taco

Hello,
Getting my ducks in a row to buy a new TRD Sport or Off-road in the next couple of weeks. Not new to Toyota, I own a 2020 Camry SE Nightshade edition and it's a great car. My wife will inherit it and I'll trade her 2011 Camry in to get my Taco.
One question and should've posted it on another thread because it may not get read but is it me or are dealers raising the price of Tacomas that's already on the lot just in the past week or so because of the shortage? I've been watching several lots daily for a couple of months and I've seen one for $51,xxx and one of our local Toyota dealers raised the price of a TRD offroad with no packages from $39,057 to $45,9xx. I know its supply and demand but wow. If that's the case, maybe I'll wait until the 2022s come out in a couple of years..lol

Yep.

That's the same reason mine has actually increased $7,600 over what I paid for it 13 months ago according to KBB - lack of inventory.

There's a shortage right now. I've seen dealers listing Tacomas for several thousand over MSRP. I wonder if you would have more luck from a small town dealership.

That's where I saw the $6k markup was from a small town dealer. It's where I bought my Camry from. It's where I'd like to purchase from because how well they treated us.
