    Hey all,

First Tacoma and first truck. 2019 OR DCSB in Cement. Will probably spend a lot of time reading and researching before I start any serious modifications, my first priorities are a topper and side rails for now. Any advice or suggestions regarding either would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a used leer shell and it works for me. As far as side rails I am looking at some from Victory 4x4. They are in Michigan so close to me for pick up to save on shipping. Probably going to get some later this year. Lots of other options out there though. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/victory-4x4-rock-slider-group-buy.588803/

Bookmarked the side rails link thank you! Which leer cap did you get and what’s a reasonable price on used? I called some local installers and a new LEER or ARE is gonna run between $1800-$2000 which seems like it was one heck of a profit margin built in.

I bought mine used last May (Leer 100XL) and paid $1500. With the options it has (windoor, sliding side window with pet screen, sliding and removable front window, locking rear that locks with the key fob of the truck, roof rack with thule rails) it was like a $2300-$2500 shell new. At the time, and I think still now, they are hard to find used because has to be off a 2016 or newer to fit. As we get more out there they will be cheaper used. I was glad to find one color matched I didn't have to paint. Found somebody on here in the buy/sell/trade thread selling their truck and asked if they would sell the shell separate and that's how I got it.
