Hi there guys. I've been wanting to buy a Tacoma and have been reading a lot here. Basically, I need your suggestions on a 2018 OR vs the Pro. I've found a Cavalry Blue Pro for $44,500 and an OR for $39K (Premium Package). These prices are without the taxes and fees. I really like the moonroof option with leather seats on the OR. Plus I like the white color. But comparing it to the Pro, if I had to upgrade the tires, wheels and lifts etc. to something better, I will be spending another 5K roughly anyways. So my dilemma here is, should I spend the extra $5500 to get the Pro and keep it stock or get an OR with the premium option and then do the mods?

you probably want the OR, save the premium cash and get a hot suspension etc... and in the color you want.

Welcome to TW! I'd go OR and then upgrade the suspension/tires.

Welcome to the forums! I'd go with the OR. Upgrading it will keep you busy for awhile and give you some pride in the work you did.

I personally think how you use the vehicle matters a good bit.

If it's a highway cruising, KOA camping, bass boat towing garage queen AND you are not really a wrench spinning mod freak, you might enjoy the Pro more.

If you are going to gut the suspension/wheels/tires and pinstripe it in the woods, you might find an SR or SR5 an even more budget friendly beginning platform.

Just to add to your consideration.
