New member, need help with wiring

So I have a 2016 tacoma sr5, and I just received my red rock baja grille with the amber raptor lights, i watched the installation video and it's different than my tacoma she wired it up to the day time running lights and she had 2 wires, a purple a white. Which ones are my day time running lights and what should I wire mine up to?

 

It depends.
IF you have BULB type lights, You'll have 2 different colors.
Beige and White/Black for the Left side.
And Light Blue and White/Black for the Right side.
White/Black is GROUND for both sides.


If you have LED bulb.
You will have a Green and a White/Black for BOTH sides.
White/Black is Ground.

 

I have bulbs not led and my wire colors on my side marker are purple and white and my blinkers amber light wires are red,white and a pink tan color. What and where are my daytime running lights? Should I just wire the red and black from the harness to the side marker?

 

Can I just splice them onto the side marker?

 

I would check your states regulations before hooking those up. In many states forward facing red or blue, and especially flashing red and white, are illegal on non emergency vehicles. You can get a hefty fine for that, no matter how insignificant you think the turn signal light is .

 

Sorry for the confusion, I should have worded it better, my wires are those colors not the lights, the lights are just amber. I'm trying to figure out how to wire them up, the instructions suck.

Purple wire left side
Yellow for the right
White/Black is Ground.

so yeah, you can just t tap the normal side marker and it should work.

Start your engine. Turn your DRL's on. Go look and take a pic. Then turn your DRL's off. Go look again. That should answer your question.

 

The harness that it came with are red and black, so I could just tie into the driver side marker then. I was gonna tie into the drl but don't know what that would be, I bought the t clips that splice on then I attach the other end then crimp them then plug it into the splice on the sidemarker.

 

Ok, I have 3 wires that connext to the amber drl/turn signal, what wires to I connect too? Now if I connect to that, are my raptor lights gonna blink when I use the directionals or just stay on? Thanks for your help!!!

All wired up. I have my diode dynamics yellow fog lights coming Monday and gonna install new headlight bulbs to probably silverstar ultras
