yeah i used 3 coats of vht nightshades and 4 coats of clear then wet sanded with 2,000 grit sand paper.. and then polished the lights! i will take better pics if and when i get a minute at work!
here are the steps to how i did the lights..
    1. taped off where the reverse lights shine through, then i taped off the half circle for the brake light...
    2. taped all of the paint around the lights and the bumper so i could avoid over spray..
    3. wet sanded the tail lights with 2,000 grit sand paper so that the lights were dull and wiped away and residue left from wet sanding and to make sure everything was completely dry..
    4. I sprayed 3 light coats of vht with only 4-5 mins in between so it would not fully dry to the tape, then pull the tape from the lights right after you finish the third coat.. leave the tape and paper (magazine pages i tore out of my wifes magazine) to protect the paint from the next clear coats you will be spraying..
    5. I did 3 light coats of clear coat and a 4th slightly heavier coat (not to heavy so i could avoid runs) i sprayed the entire tail light even the parts that i did not spray the vht on ( I did this so the lights would blend and not have lines where the vht was)
    6. I removed the rest of the tape and paper surrounding the lights.. and allowed about an hour for the clear to fully dry!
    7. wet sanded the entire tail light with 2,000 grit again untill the clear was fully dull and smooth (with out shine).. then i wiped away and residue..
    8. I used turtle wax polishing compmound.. I used a standard wash cloth so it would cut/polish better (use a good bit of force when doing this step) and wiped the residue away with a micro-fiber towel (took three coats to get the finish i wanted).. using the standard wash cloth worked the best for me!
    9. put 2 layers of wax with the round pad that came with the wax..
    10. DONE!!!
