Hi Tacoma world! Long time lover of these forums, first time poster. I just got my 21 DCSB SR5 Tacoma a couple months and love the truck. I had an 08 Regular cab 4cyl Tacoma I had purchased from my father before this and absolutely loved that freaking truck. Over time tho I started feeling it’s limitations and age being 2 wheel drive and wanting more more space for family/pets and gear. This new truck feels similar to my first Tacoma in many ways. It’s much fancier but doesn’t feel overly techy. I will admit that the transmission has its quirks but so far hasn’t been an issue and I’ve heard settles in more as the miles add up. I’d like to put some off road tires on the vehicle and size up a little from the stock 245/75/16 the vehicle came with. I live in Oregon so if anyone has any recs for a good rain/snow capable tire that can still be a good daily driver I’d love to hear about that and any other tips on caring for these new trucks anyone wants to pass on. Cheers

Howdy and welcome to TacomaWorld. Congrats on your new Tacoma. Just curious, was your "08 Regular cab 4cyl Tacoma" a stick-shift, and is it still for sale ?

My previous truck was a automatic and I sold it to my boss so he could give it to his son. Seemed fitting since my dad sold it me. Amazing truck. Sometimes I regret letting it go. If it had been a 4x4 I would have kept that thing forever.
