    Hey everyone,

New guy from rural VA here. Currently I drive a 2015 Colorado, but I've been thinking hard about trading it, so I figured I'd lurk on here for a bit. I originally wanted a Tacoma when I got the Colorado, but I the last previous generation never really grew on me. Of course I got the Colorado and a few months later, here's the 16 Tacoma and I like them a lot. Price of a new one scares me a little, so if I got a 19 it would be pretty basic. I'm open to suggestions on trim level!

It’s probablems have been minor, but the touch screen only works some times, power windows act up in certain weather, suspension has sounded like it has a worn out ball joint or something since about 10k miles but never did find the cause... plus the automatic shifting was horrible until recently. Chevy took 3 year to fix, so I had to foot the bill since they waited until warranty was out.
So I was wondering because my dealer just got a 19’ SR that checks all of my boxes and may be affordable, how stripped down are these?
I noticed some info on forums about the 16s, so should they be avoided? Or are there things that I should make sure are fixed before I sign for a 16?

Good, God. If you’re in a hurry get the V6 but ya, I like the least amount of options so I can build it my way. All the factory radios seem to be crap

They are pretty stripped down but you can still get 4x4 which is great. Best to go look in person and see what features the SR has/doesn't have.

    About what?

So I test drove the 19 SR tonight, but it was really a quick jaunt around the block in the dark because I had to take finals. So brief impressions of the truck is that it's nothing bad but nothing fancy. I felt like I couldn't get myself into the position I expected though. I'm 6'3", and the first thing I did was hit my legs on the steering wheel when I got in, which was already adjusted all the way up and out. It would be easy to drive with my knee, that's for sure. Stereo sucks, as mentioned, but my Colorado has a Bose stereo, soooo that's kind of unfair.

It looks like I can put my daughters rear-facing car seat in the middle, does anybody know for sure on this? The anchor points hidden in the seat cushion were only on the outboard seats, but if the latch straps reach then I guess it would be fine.

I guess the final decision will depend on what the dealer can come up with for price, I'm not so desperate that I'm ready to get screwed.
