    Good morning,

I am a new member and first time Tacoma owner. I own a new 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport.

My question, has anyone had problems with the infotainment system. My 2022 Tacoma infotainment system stopped working. First it started with loosing the 4 contacts that I programmed in, then I had to reenter them several times. Then the other day the whole system went blank (No phone, No radio, No map) just a blank screen. The only thing working is the backup camera. I tried resetting the system nothing. This should not happen on a new vehicle. Dealership wants $250+ to look at it.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

One tech I talked to at a different dealership told me to get an after market radio it would be cheaper and you get a better system.

    Thank you in advance.

Interesting.. You're not under warranty anymore? I just passed my warranty, so I get it. I have had the same contacts issue many times over now, but nothing more than that. I use android auto, corded of course, so I chalked it up to something to do with that. But I've also replaced my speakers. Messed around with the head unit so be able to make the switch, but kept the head unit itself. Have you checked all your fuses? I don't see everything going black as just a simple head unit issue

How long have u owned it ? Even if it was bought used it should have a short warranty . Some reason they don’t cover it … I would just buy a aftermarket radio to replace it … the stock stereo is not that good . But if u really want to keep it u can try pulling the stereo out and check for any loose connections .

stock radio kind of blows in the base case, replacing will make your life 100x easier.

You bought the truck used, did it come with a certified warranty? those last longer than factory and will cover electronics.
