I have been lurking for many moons "borrowing" the great ideas posted on the forum. I have a recently purchased 08 Double Cab SR-5 non-TRD. I am on my third go around with the dealer regarding the bottoming out TSB (rear Leaf). My question is this, since I want to level the truck anyway does it make sense to fight the dealer over the upgrade? If seems like Bilstein 5100's and AAL will resolve the problem. From what I have read the 5100's seem like a better way to level the truck vs the spacers. Secondly, I am a big fan of Air Rite bags for overload situations, since you get a smooth ride empty or loaded. Any comments or advice is greatly apreciated and thanks in advance for your time and effort!!! Love my truck and it would be just about perfect if it werent for all the problems I found here on the forum!!!.

They want me to bring it back again, I loaded it with firewood rounds and brought it in. They unloaded and weighed each round which totalled 660 pounds. They claim they couldnt feel it bottom....So now I plan to handle it via phone. Its hard to believe they want me to load in to an unsafe conditon and drive it in...I may call the local news channel who do investigations on interesting "problems" with unsatisfied customers. I used them before and after the first questions from the reporter I got my Dodge Dakota bought back from Dodge. The good news is I have plenty of firewood for the winter!

I'd load it up to just under the max load weight and then bring it in. Either that or find another dealership because that's nonsense.
